Job Description

- Conducts safety meetings, audits, and inspections to ensure compliance, evaluate performance, identify corrective action, and implement follow up assessments

- Plans, implements, and conducts preventative care, safety, and compliance training programs

- Plans, implements, manages, and maintains comprehensive environmental safety & health programs on premises or at project site locations

- Provides project management team with guidance on health and safety and confirm project site fulfills industry, local, state, and legal guidelines and regulations

- Collaborates with management to develop an Emergency Action Plan and serve as primary contact for project site injury and incident notification, investigation, and case management. Maintains a written log of safety inspection activities, reports, and correspondence

- Guarantees that all work is performed in accordance with approved manuals, internal policies and procedures, contract documents, and good engineering practices

- Provides technical support to project managers

- Coordinates and monitors schedule updates, invoices, and submittals

- Reports the status of projects to business and market leaders

- Participates in team meetings and provides regular on-site project presence

- Keep up to date with changes in current legislation and to bring to the attention of the Senior Manager

- Attend such courses/seminars run by external sources to enable accurate interpretation of legislation to enable implementation within the organization

Job Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Engineering diploma or equivalent

- Knowledge of ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health & Safety Implementation

- Knowledge of International Labor Organization - Global Occupational Safety & Health setting

- Familiarity with legislation and other related safety guidelines

- Ability to train, influence and motivate team members

- Minimum 8 years’ experience in the construction industry or equivalent

- At least 4 years experience in management level safety professional experience

- Obtained professional safety certificate

- Excellent knowledge of legislations and procedures

- Excellent knowledge of potentially hazardous materials or practices

- Experience with writing policies and procedures for health and safety

- Working knowledge of safety management information system

- Outstanding organizational skills

- Excellent in English

- Critical thinker and problem-solving skills

- Flexible, honestly, hard-working, good team work

- Willing to travel to all sites and able to work a required

- Good time-management skills

- Great interpersonal and communication skills
