• Manage daily air and ocean freight operations.
• Coordinate import and export shipments.
• Arrange shipments with airlines, shipping lines, freight forwarders, agents, and customers.
• Handle shipment delays, missing documents, or other problems.
• Check shipping schedules and coordinate cargo pickup/delivery.
• Monitor freight costs and operational expenses.
• Ocean freight knowledge strong understanding of import/export shipments and sea freight operations.
• Rates & pricing: Ability to negotiate ocean freight rates, surcharges, contracts, and quotations with carriers and overseas partners.
• Understanding of freight costs, selling rates, margins, and profitability
• Ability to manage shipments from booking through departure and arrival, including resolving delays, rollovers, documentation issues, and container problems.
• Prepare and check shipping documents such as commercial invoices,
• packing lists, Air Waybills (AWB), and Bills of Lading (B/L).
• Track shipments and update customers about their status.
• Coordinate with customs for clearance procedures.
• Supervise the operations team and make sure work is completed correctly and on time.
• Problem-solving: Able to work under pressure and make quick decisions when there are operational issues.
