Jobs Description

• Managing the HR dept. to ensure all HR functions are effectively carried out.

• Managing the NSSF computations, payments and reporting to ensure compliance with relevant Ministries and agencies.

• Managing the monthly and yearly HR plan and budget for hiring, training and development, monthly celebrations and annual retreat.

• Conducting hiring process, including job advertisement, compiling applicant CVs for reviews and screening, arranging interviews and scheduling, keeping applicants’ evaluation forms and outcomes, and maintaining personal records.

• Conducting employee orientation and facilitating newcomers to assimilate quickly into the company culture and work approach.

• Updating regularly the master HR database (personal file, personal database...etc.) of each employee e.g. list of probation staff, new hire report, resignation, and termination reports.

• Manage payroll with Finance by providing relevant employee information (e.g. leaves of absence, sick days and work schedules, overtimes, resignations, salary increments…etc.).

• Supporting the dept. Heads in staff evaluations during probation period, and performance appraisal twice annually.

• Engaging with staff on regular basis to gather feedback, understand their morale and motivation levels and adopting proactive measures to enhance

• Acting as the first point of contact for HR-related issues e.g. staff grievances to reduce sick leave, absenteeism and increase productivity

• Conducting quarterly session to brief staff on the company culture and HR policies, practices and emphasis

• Conducting exit interviews for employees and recording them accordingly.

• Keeping good documentations under a HR database system

• Performing other tasks as assigned by the Pro VC office.

Jobs Requirement

• Degree in HRM or HRD related field.

• Proficiency in English in both written and oral is a MUST.

• Minimum 3-5 years’ direct experience in HR role.

• In-depth knowledge of local employment law.

• Knowledge of best practice HR policies and systems.

• Excellent communication skills with strong persuasion ability.

• People oriented and results driven.

• Trustworthy and Can-do attitude.

• Experience with Human Resources metrics is an advantage
