• Overseeing departmental budgeting, planning and reporting to line manager

• Oversee all recreation programming and lead activities for groups

- Ensure promotion of recreation activities throughout.

- Organize and set up the equipment that is used in recreational activities.

- Create compelling special events throughout the year to attract visitors.

- Own large projects by researching, costing, planning and preparing proposals for leadership team for special events to attract more guests.

• Create & explain the rules of activities and instruct participants at a variety of skill levels.

• Modify activities to suit the needs of specific groups, such as seniors.

• Enforce safety rules to prevent injury & Administer basic first aid if needed.

• Develop and maintain departmental operational policies and work procedures.

• 5-10 years’ experience in a similar role within the hospitality or resort industry, travel & tourism company.

• Previous leadership experience in recreation.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Outlook.

• Must possess excellent customer service skills.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Understanding of necessary legal and regulatory documents.

• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

• Must be extremely responsible with integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion.

• Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays.
