**General description Ophthalmologist is responsible for examining and managing patients both at the outpatient eye clinic and those patients who are admitted for ophthalmologic problems. Responsibilities/Duties A. Ophthalmologic Responsibilities: - Eye examination, consultation and prescription in Eye Clinic and OPD. - Inpatients admitted for ophthalmologic problem. - Consulting physician for patients with medical problems who have a secondary ophthalmologic issue. - Eye surgery in OT - Minimum two elective cases per week. - Emergency cases as needed - Minor procedure cases in Eye minor procedure room. - On call for emergency cases following on call schedule. - Assist volunteer ophthalmologists and actively make an effort to learn from them. B. General pediatric responsibilities - Join Introduction module organized by medical education. - Work full time at Eye Clinic after finishing probation period. - Attend General Doctor meeting each month. C. Educational Responsibilities - Attend English classes. - Join Continuing Professional Development (CPD) program. - Attend CME activities like Journal Club and Mortality Meetings. - Keep up to date with current ophthalmologic practices and share any new information with other medical staff. - Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment, prognosis, and basic eye care including preventative care such as hygiene and injury prevention. - Provide lectures related to eyes disease as requested. - Provide regular teaching in the Eye Clinic

Jobs Requirement

**Requirements: - Medical Doctor specialized in Ophthalmology or higher from an institution recognized by Ministry of Education Youths and Sport, Cambodia. - Willing to learn and improve knowledge. - Flexible working times and ability to work day and on call basis. - Ability to build good inter-personal relationships. - Good command of English and Khmer (written / spoken / comprehension). - Computer literacy. - Able to work in a team environment involving different departments and will be able to work in any units at the hospital. - Be enthusiastic and hard working. - Be honest and trustworthy.
