Reporting to: HRT Director RESPONSIBILITIES I. Recruiting expat teachers A. Make recruitment plans, forecast recruitment orders, and keep track of the budget for expat teacher recruitment B. Find sources of candidates • Find suitable sources of candidates based on the recruitment needs through various channels: VUS website, recruitment websites, recruitment partners,... C. Collect and keep track of recruitment orders from campuses • Collect monthly recruitment orders from campuses • Keep track of the orders filled for campuses every week D. Screen applicants’ CVs • Receive and screen CVs • Respond to emails, questions from applicants on various recruitment channels E. Interview candidates • Contact candidates, arrange interviews • Conduct interviews F. Demo briefing • Brief candidates on the demo lesson, teaching steps, etc. G. Offer letter signing once candidates pass the demo • Set the starting pay rate and conducts the offer letter signing with successful candidates • Give the induction to new teachers on the VUS regulations, teaching programs, different departments, benefits and professional development activities. H. Assign teachers to campuses as per their needs II. Handle expat teachers-related issues A. Service and fulltime contract renewal • Receive service/full-time contract renewal list from TQMs • Confirm service/full-time contract renewal for expat teachers B. Full-time contracts proposal & approval • Receive full-time contract proposal from TQMs • Consider full-time contract proposal • Approve full-time contract offers • Brief teachers on full-time contract criteria and benefits C. Pay review for teachers • Review teachers’ pay annually at year end, together with TQMs • Receive pay raise proposal from TQMs for individual cases incurred within a year and approve them • Consider and handle pay increase requests from teachers • Pay scale review and update to attract and retain teachers D. Handle disciplinary violations • Draft warning letters as per TQMs’ requests • Invite teachers to meet and discuss disciplinary violations based on information provided by TQMs • Have teachers sign the warning letters and send a scanned copy to the TQMs E. Campus transfers • Receive campus transfer requests from teachers • Consider and coordinate with TQMs to handle campus transfer and inform teachers F. Resignation/termination • Receive resignation/termination requests from teachers or TQMs • Coordinate with TQMs in handling termination G. Exit surveys • Conduct exit surveys with resigned teachers • Summarize, share the survey results with TQMs • Analyze data periodically and propose improvements III. Work permit – Visa A. Coordinate with HRT-work permit-visa team in reminding teachers who are late in any work permit/visa application procedures; directly contact teachers in case of emergencies/difficult issues B. Send out offer letter/contract extension or termination to teachers who do not comply with the necessary work permit procedures in a timely manner IV. Other tasks (including but not limited to) A. Participate in the department annual and quarterly plans, annual KPIs proposal and implementation B. Attend teacher-related events and graduation ceremonies when asked C. Manage and supervise staff in following the company’s regulations, work performance and implement HR-benefits D. Participate in academic/professional work when asked by a superior E. Participating in updating Teacher’s handbook JOB REQUIREMENTS
