1. Collects payments by accepting cash, check, or charge payments from customers and makes change for cash customers. 2. Take customer orders at the counter 3. Make reservations for customers 4. Receive food checks from waiters or customers 5. Appeal to impatient or irritated customers, especially during rush hours 6. Manage the register, including all credit card and cash operations 7. Provides a positive customer experience with fair, friendly, and courteous service. 8. Resolves customer issues and answers questions and processes return transactions. 9. Itemizes and totals purchases by recording prices, departments, taxable and nontaxable items; and operating a cash register. 10. Balances cash drawer by counting cash at beginning and end of work shift.
