The University is seeking a full time candidate as Vice-Dean of ICT.

• Direct and manage the Faculty of Business, Entrepreneurship and Technology

• Provide strategic leadership, including development and regular review of the Faculty of Business, Entrepreneurship and Technology’s strategic plan, ensuring that local plans are consistent with overall faculty and UP strategy

• Contribute towards generating new income for the Faculty of Business,

Entrepreneurship and Technology through growth in student numbers to agreed targets, either directly or through a contribution to new intra or inter faculty programmes at all levels

• Contribute to faculty’s management and ensure that the Faculty of Business, Entrepreneurship and Technology makes a full contribution to UP objectives

• Work with other faculties and departments to ensure student academic and pastoral success

• Provide an infrastructure for organizing teaching across the Faculty of Business, Entrepreneurship and Technology that supports the quality of the learning environment

• Develop effective links with other faculties and departments across UP

• Advance and promote the Faculty of Business, Entrepreneurship and Technology’ s teaching agenda

• Ensure appropriate management structures within Faculty of Business,

Entrepreneurship and Technology maintains high standards of teaching delivery and curriculum development in health Sciences and ICT

• Seeks and implements continuous improvement

• Represent the Faculty of Business, Entrepreneurship and Technology and UP effectively at national and International level

• Act as an effective ambassador for UP in the external environment

• Have responsibility for the direct line management of members of the Faculty of

• Business, Entrepreneurship and Technology

• Ensure the Faculty of Business, Entrepreneurship and Technology budget is managed effectively and in line with faculty objectives

• Manage the staffing resource for the Faculty of Business, Entrepreneurship and Technology in line with UP’s policies, procedures and best practices, including recruitment, performance management, appraisal and development

• Embrace quality enhancement as a key educational tool and embed principles at all levels of the Faculty of Business, Entrepreneurship and Technology

• Contribute, where appropriate, to the delivery of lectures, practical classes and field courses belonging to the Faculty of Business, Entrepreneurship and Technology within February 18, 2022 Health Sciences and ICT

• Provide academic leadership within the Faculty of Business, Entrepreneurship and Technology, working in partnership with other academic staff

• Provide support and guidance for students in their studies and in conjunction with faculties and departments, undertake any required support of students

• Comply with UP standards and procedures for ensuring teaching quality and to develop, support and comply with the Faculty of Business, Entrepreneurship and Technology’s standards and procedures

• Co-operate with colleagues in the continuous review and development of the curriculum for existing programmes and in the design, development and launch of new programmes to actively contribute to the Faculty of Business, Entrepreneurship and Technology activities

• Supervise and mentor students

• Perform other duties and assume additional responsibilities as assigned by the President

1. Experience:

At least 3 years managing teaching staff experience

Significant experience of managing and leading a team of teaching staff

Good knowledge/experience of contemporary approaches to education

Experience in educational technologies

2. Education:

Master’s Degree in Information and Communication Technology or related fieldPost-graduate qualification in teaching and learning strongly preferred

3. Skills/Competencies:

Proactive thinker and can-do attitude

Excellent communication skills and ability to work as a team

Excellent oral and written command of English

Excellent oral and written command of Khmer would be highly regarded

The ability to empower others and enable excellent team performance

The ability to manage budgets and resources effectively

The ability to build effective working relationship at all levels
