Job Summary / Scope • Responsible for establishing and maintaining high standards of professional service at all times in the restaurant and bar areas and overseeing the day-to-day operation, including cleanliness of the restaurant and bar within the hotel; • Monitor/manage the financial performance of the department (including costs) on a monthly basis and agree corrective actions if appropriate; • Responsible for ensuring all sales are documented and forward all room charge receipts to front office to posted to guest accounts. Ensuring the accurate record keeping of complimentary items to account for stock deficiencies; • Monitor and record all inventory properly. Detailed Job Description 1. Day-to-day responsibility for the department; 2. Responsible for establishing and maintaining high standards of professional service at all times in the restaurant and bar areas and overseeing the day-to-day operation, including cleanliness of the restaurant and coffee bar within the hotel; 3. Responsible for recruiting, managing, inducting, training, performance and development of all restaurant and bar staff to the hotel high standards which includes conducting staff appraisals, probationary reviews, conducting hearings when required in line with the hotel policies; 4. Monitoring absence rates within the department, carrying out return to work interviews and liaising with HR in respect of absence or sickness issues; 5. Assist Accountant to purchase F&B inventories when required; 6. Responsible for handling of escalated comments from guests and resolving in line with company procedures; 7. Monitor/manage the financial performance of the department (including costs) on a monthly basis and agree corrective actions if appropriate; 8. Responsible for ensuring all sales are documented and forward all room charge receipts to front office to post to guest accounts. Ensuring the accurate record keeping of complimentary items to account for stock deficiencies; 9. Hold regular staff meetings and briefings with team members as required; 10. Be on call in case of emergencies. Essential Requirements • Presentable • Proven strong organizational and leadership skill • Excellent Customer Care • Excellent ability of telephone, office and point-of-sale (POS) software

Jobs Requirement

Min. Educational Qualifications • High School Diploma or equivalent; • Minimum 2 years’ experience in restaurant, coffee shop or bar; • Good English communication skill (Written & Verbal); • Familiarity with telephone, office and point-of-sale (POS) software; • Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends and public holidays subject to rota and a willingness to extend of change hours and days of work from time to time upon request and subject to operational requirements.
