Jobs Description

Support the development and contribute to the implementation of project MEAL practices and activities that effectively engage partners, donors, and other relevant stakeholders and are compliant with agency and donor MEAL requirements Provide input to and support project MEAL system implementation and data collection tools to measure program/project impact and progress Apply knowledge on information and communication technologies (ICT), both hardware and software, for timely and accurate data collection, database management, conducting analyses, and making information easily accessible Foster respectful relationships with community members and stakeholders to promote honesty and integrity Support staff, external evaluators, and partners, in carrying out MEAL initiatives (the use of MEAL tools, data collection and management, MEAL plans implementation, project monitoring, and reporting, etc.) to contribute to capacity building as well as data quality and integrity Analyze data against project indicators and lead analyses and reflective review discussions and workshops on ongoing monitoring data to contribute lessons learned and field-based insights to project discussions, facilitate programmatic adjustments and evidence-based decision-making, and contribute to learning Support program learning and decision-making by posing thoughtful questions, engaging with project data, reflecting upon and sharing with project management the information gathered from community members and partners. Contribute to the development of the MEAL design for proposals. Support the process of preparation and design of project concepts and full-fledged proposals as needed

Jobs Requirement

Typical Background, Experience & Requirements: Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in development studies, population studies, social sciences, statistics, or a related field A minimum three years of relevant work experience in MEAL, ideally with an international NGO Knowledge of technical principles and concepts in MEAL and of methods for managing data Experience in quantitative and qualitative data analysis A solid understanding of beneficiary tracking methods Strong proficiency in MS Office packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) Proficiency in data management systems; knowledge of SQL or similar database languages highly desirable Familiarity with mobile data collection platforms (e.g. iForm, CommCare, PowerBI, etc.) Personal Skills: Presentation, facilitation, training, mentoring, and coaching skills Strong coordination and time management skills, with attention to detail Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Very good relationship management skills and the ability to work closely with community members and local institutions. An ability to work effectively under stressful conditions Required/Desired Language: Fluency in oral and written English and Lao is required. Knowledge of Bru and other minority languages found in Savannakhet Province is highly preferred. Travel Required: 20-30% within Savannakhet Province.
