Jobs Description

1. Daily QC Inspection & Line Control

  • Lead and assign QC inspection coverage for A, S, C, and P production lines according to the production plan and shift priorities.
  • Verify first-piece/start-up inspection before production continues and ensure required approvals are documented.
  • Monitor in-process quality, product appearance, dimensions, weight, printing, packing, and other approved specifications; escalate abnormalities immediately.

2. Non-Conforming Product & Defect Control

  • Identify, segregate, label, and control Hold, Reject, Rework, and Released product status to prevent unintended use or shipment.
  • Coordinate with Production on containment and immediate corrective action when defects exceed control limits or repeat.
  • Support root cause analysis and CAPA follow-up for recurring internal defects and customer complaints.

3. Finished Product Inspection & Release

  • Ensure FQC sampling and inspection are completed according to approved methods before product release.
  • Verify batch/MFG date, product identity, quantity, packaging condition, and traceability records before release approval.
  • Ensure release decisions are supported by complete and accurate inspection records.

4. Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead daily QC briefings, assign responsibilities, monitor attendance and performance, and ensure shift handover is clear.
  • Train QC team members on inspection methods, defect standards, sampling, measuring tools, SOPs, forms, hygiene, and safety.
  • Coach team members to improve inspection consistency, judgment, discipline, and problem-solving.

5. Documentation, SOP & Traceability

  • Ensure QC forms, inspection records, testing records, product release records, and defect reports are completed correctly and on time.
  • Maintain strong traceability from raw material/batch through production and finished product status.
  • Support review and improvement of QA/QC SOPs, work instructions, standards, and inspection forms.

6. Reporting & Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Prepare daily quality summaries and provide clear information on defect quantity, waste/recycle impact, open issues, and corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with Production, Warehouse & Logistics, Maintenance, and Finance/BD when quality issues affect stock, output, customer delivery, or cost.
  • Escalate critical quality risks promptly to the QA/QC Supervisor and management.

7. Safety, 5S & Continuous Improvement

  • Maintain 5S and safe working practices in QC areas and enforce proper use and care of measuring equipment.
  • Participate in improvement activities to reduce defects, complaints, rework, waste, and repeated quality issues.


Jobs Requirement

Education

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Quality Management, Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering, Food/Polymer/Science, or a related field.

Experience

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in QC/QA or manufacturing quality inspection.
  • Experience leading a small QC team or acting as senior QC is preferred.
  • Experience in plastic manufacturing, packaging, food-contact products, or similar industries is an advantage.

Technical Skills

  • Good understanding of incoming, in-process, and finished-product inspection.
  • Able to use measuring tools and interpret product specifications, defect standards, sampling plans, and inspection criteria.
  • Good knowledge of non-conforming product control, traceability, root cause analysis, CAPA, 5S, and basic quality tools.
  • Good MS Excel and reporting skills; able to prepare accurate daily quality reports.

  • Internal defect rate / defect kg and defect trend by production line
  • Customer complaint and product return trend
  • Repeat defect / CAPA closure effectiveness
  • Accuracy and completeness of QC records and traceability
  • QC team training and SOP compliance
  • 5S and safety compliance in QC work areas

Working Conditions

  • Factory-based role with regular presence on production lines and warehouse/product-release areas.
  • May require rotating shifts, overtime, or support during urgent quality incidents and production changes.
  • PPE and hygiene/safety requirements must be followed in designated areas.
