Jobs Description

1. Financial Management and Strategy

  • Manage the company's cash flow, financial planning, and reporting processes to ensure financial stability and sustainable growth.
  • Provide strategic financial analysis, insights, and recommendations to support business decision-making and organizational objectives.
  • Partner closely with executive management to develop and implement financial strategies that drive profitability and operational efficiency.

2. Accounting and Financial Reporting

  • Oversee all accounting operations and ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of financial records.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, management reports, and financial presentations.
  • Monitor key financial performance indicators and provide timely reporting to management.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial reporting requirements.

3. Financial Systems and Internal Controls

  • Implement, maintain, and optimize QuickBooks and other financial management systems to improve operational efficiency and reporting accuracy.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor effective internal control systems to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.
  • Continuously review financial processes and recommend improvements to enhance operational effectiveness.

4. Budgeting, Forecasting, and Financial Analysis

  • Lead the annual budgeting process and prepare financial forecasts to support strategic planning.
  • Collaborate with department heads and cross-functional teams to develop and monitor budgets.
  • Conduct financial analysis to evaluate business performance, identify trends, and recommend corrective actions where necessary.
  • Assess investment opportunities and evaluate their potential financial impact and return on investment.

5. Banking and Financial Institution Management

  • Manage relationships with banks, investors, and financial institutions to secure and maintain funding requirements.
  • Oversee all banking activities, including loan applications, loan renewals, overdraft (OD) facilities, bank guarantees, and other financial arrangements.
  • Ensure timely preparation and submission of financial documents required by banks and financial institutions.

6. Audit, Compliance, and Risk Management

  • Coordinate internal and external audits and work closely with auditors to ensure compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, taxation requirements, and company policies.
  • Identify financial risks and implement appropriate risk mitigation strategies.

7. Project Financial Management

  • Monitor project payment terms and contractual financial obligations.
  • Oversee invoicing processes and follow up on collections to ensure full contract value is received in accordance with agreed payment schedules.
  • Support project teams with financial guidance and cost control measures.

8. Team Leadership and Development

  • Lead, supervise, and develop the finance and accounting team to achieve departmental objectives.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and motivation to team members.
  • Establish daily, weekly, and monthly work plans to ensure efficient department operations and performance.
  • Foster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performance work environment.

9. Other Responsibilities

  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Management.

Jobs Requirement

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, including at least 3 years in a Finance Manager or Accounting Manager role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial management, taxation, internal controls, and financial reporting standards.
  • Good understanding of Cambodian financial regulations, tax laws, and accounting practices, particularly within the construction or contracting industry.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and accounting software, including QuickBooks.
  • Strong communication skills with proficiency in both written and spoken Khmer and English.
  • High attention to detail, integrity, and commitment to accuracy.
  • Strong leadership, teamwork, coaching, and stakeholder management abilities.
