• Ensuring the business has sufficient liquidity to meet its operational and growth needs. Includes short- and long-term cash forecasting, managing inflows/outflows, monitoring daily liquidity, and overseeing banking relationships to optimize working capital and credit lines.

Working Capital Optimization

• Managing the cash conversion cycle across inventory, receivables, and payables. Key to ensuring uninterrupted sourcing of goods and healthy vendor relationships. Requires negotiating credit terms, inventory turnover analysis, and balancing stock levels with cash flow constraints.

Financial Modelling & Capital Structuring

• Building robust financial models to assess business health and funding requirements. Involves scenario planning, startup runway analysis, cap table management, and equity vs. debt financing strategies to support expansion while preserving investor expectations.

Retail Store Economics & Franchise Financial Planning

• Evaluating profitability at the store level and designing franchise financial structures. Includes fixed vs. variable cost analysis, breakeven modelling, royalty structures, and return on investment (ROI) for store rollouts, both for owned and franchise locations.

Cost Control & Operational Efficiency

• Driving lean operations by reducing overheads and improving cost structures. Requires analysis of logistics, technology, manpower, rent, and marketing expenses. Helps in identifying areas of cost leakage and implementing initiatives like zero-based budgeting.

Marketing Spend & ROI Governance

• Allocating and measuring marketing investments with strict ROI accountability. Combines CAC (Customer Acquisition Cost), LTV (Lifetime Value), and attribution analytics to ensure marketing dollars are aligned with business growth without over-burdening the P&L.

Return Metrics: RoE, RoIC, and Unit Economics

• Ensuring shareholder value creation through strong return metrics. Tracking Return on Equity (RoE) and Return on Invested Capital (RoIC), while improving unit economics across SKUs and stores, to ensure scalability without profitability dilution.

Inventory Financing & Supply Chain Support

• Enabling cost-effective financing of stock purchases. Involves negotiating supplier credit, exploring trade finance instruments, and supporting procurement teams with financial insights to prevent overstocking or stockouts.

Compliance, Audit & Statutory Reporting

• Maintaining adherence to Cambodian financial regulations and corporate governance. Includes timely tax filings, KICPAA or international audit coordination, financial reporting as per IFRS/local GAAP, and ensuring transparency to stakeholders and regulatory bodies.

Data-Driven Decision Support & Analytics Collaboration

• Partnering with analytics teams to drive actionable financial intelligence. Integrates real-time dashboards, cost-to-serve models, product-level profitability insights, and promotion effectiveness reports, enabling faster, smarter business decisions.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or Economics from a recognized Cambodian or international university (e.g., NUM, RUPP, CamEd, or overseas institutions).
• Professional Accounting Qualification such as:
• ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) – Highly respected in Cambodia and widely recognized among finance professionals.
• CPA Cambodia (KICPAA License) – Registered and regulated by the Kampuchea Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Auditors (KICPAA).
• OR
• MBA or Master’s Degree in Finance or Business Administration - preferably from a reputed institution, either in Cambodia or internationally

Working Experience / Essential Qualifications

• 12+ years in finance, with 5+ years in retail, FMCG, or omnichannel commerce
• Prior experience in startup or scaling businesses with multi-entity operations
• Experience with franchise business models and capex-light expansion strategies is a plus
• Expertise in financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting, and scenario planning
• Deep understanding of working capital cycles, inventory financing, and supply chain dynamics
• Hands-on experience with P&L management, cost control, store-level performance analytics
• Proficiency in ERP tools (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite), Excel, and FP&A systems
