The successful applicant will have the following responsibilities:

•Take instructions from the management and supervise junior team members in projects. Have the ability to handle assignments from beginning till completion, both as a team and independently.

•Draft and deliver proposals/quotations, document accurate time records, review and revise invoices and assist in the collection of outstanding invoices.

•Undertake all assignments of a Senior Legal Associate including:

oreviewing/drafting of legal advices, legal opinions, agreements, other legal instruments on various commerial and foreign investment matters in connection with Cambodian law;

o reviewing/preparing registration applications and liasion with the local authorities in various sectors.

o performing company and land due dilligence, business registration, business licensing, other registration works in connection with real estate, employment, finance, investment and other commercial transactions.

o communicating with clients, business partners and business associations on assigned matters.

•Participate in the firm’s business development activities including cooperating with the team in preparing and delivering publications articles and presentations on various legal issues.

•Participate with our team in knowledge management and build tools and materials for the legal team to use with the support from our junior members.

•Perform administrative matters including managing certain aspects of office operation and undertake other tasks which may be assigned by the management.

•Undertake other tasks as assigned by the management.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

•Completed at least a bachelor's degree and a master's degree in law from an accredited law school abroad, with a particular focus on commercial law.

•At least 5 years of work experience at a reputable commercial law firm in Cambodia with experience in commercial, real estate and finance matters.

•Experience in liaison with government authorities on registration applications with various local authorities is a must.

•Excellent communication skills - English and Khmer (possessing Chinese language ability is an asset).
