Jobs Description

  • Contribute to and provide inputs of the annual work plan, required project reports, baseline data, tools and indicators for monitoring and evaluation, and sharing of lessons learned.


  • Coordinate, provide technical support, and work closely with the Fisheries Administration (FiA), Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries and then Ministry of Environment and ATR’s Program team to create new community-protected areas (CPAs) within the target protected area as part of the Mangrove Afforestation and Reforestation Project strategy.


  • Work closely with relevant project partners, concerned government agencies, private sector and each site coordinator to provide technical support, training, capacity building, and promotion of all existing under ATR’s Program Team.


  • Lead and provide technical support to community-based organizations (Community Protected Area, Community Fisheries, Community Forest) to develop and update their management plans and by-laws.


  • Learn documents related our project, evaluate the impact of our project, and modify community development approaches as needed for carbon credit.


  • Monitor that the needs of the affected populations, environment protection, and other relevant concerns are considered to ensure that livelihood and poverty reduction initiatives are sustainable including establishing priority targets and indicators.


  • Monitor activities related to livelihood issues, and ensure relevant databases are maintained. Actively foster donor and NGO coordination and interagency linkages and represent the project at donor and Government meetings as needed.


  • Work with specialists from Government Departments, key stakeholders, and private sectors to design and implement a coordinated and sustainable livelihood initiative, which addresses identified needs.


  • Demonstrates good knowledge of information technology and applies it in work assignment.


  • Demonstrates in-depth understanding and knowledge of the current guidelines and project management tools and utilizes these regularly in work assignment.


  • Reports to internal and external ATR clients in a timely and appropriate fashion


  • Organizes and prioritizes work schedule to meet client needs and deadlines


  • Establishes, builds and sustains effective relationships within the work unit and with internal and external clients


  • Responds to client needs promptly

Jobs Requirement


• Bachelor’s degree (master’s degree desirable) Rural Development, Study, Natural Resource Management, Agriculture, forestry fisheries, a field.


• Has experience with government institutions, private sectors, NGOs at least ten in livelihood interventions such farming, small enterprise, livestock, community mobilization, community-based ecotourism, etc.


• Has experience rolling out some all programs that include such Productivity Enhancement, Climate Smart Agriculture, Sustainable Agriculture Practices, Eco-tourism, SME, etc.


• Good understanding wildlife conservation, protected area management, fisheries management, land use management.


• Has experience on livelihoods-based community institutions such community protected areas (CPA), community fisheries (CFi), community forests (CF) agriculture cooperatives (AC), etc.


• Has experience networking partnership organizations in farms livestock.


• Ability communicates well English preferable.


• Good interpersonal communication and teamwork abilities


• Good knowledge and experience with poor households.


• Good analytical/problem-solving, report writing, critical thinking skills.


• Good Computer and Microsoft Office (Ms. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Email).
