- Manage the customs interface with Company’s shipping processes to satisfy the key contributory element

to customer satisfaction

- Ensure the smooth running of the customs clearance operation by managing the work rosters and the

work performed by the clearance department in order to achieve the performance standards set by

local management and yet ensuring that the regulatory requirements and customer instructions are

complied.

- Monitor inbound and outbound shipment processing through the clearance process and ensures

clearance is smooth and rapid

– including customs, quarantine, censorship etc.

- Understand and comply with the regulations and guidelines issued by the customs agency or other

government agencies supervising import and export activities

- Evaluate Customs Clearance procedures and methods to achieve optimum service and cost

performance; participate in Gateway quality policy and initiatives

- Provide competitive clearance service that will give DHL’s customers a competitive advantage when

they make use of DHL’s customs clearance services

- Analyze Customs Clearance performance for Continuous Improvement for the most competitive

Clearance Performance/Capability

- Develop a culture of quality, service excellence (for internal customers), flexibility and cost

consciousness

- Identify training needs and career development opportunities to drive a high performance team

- Develop KPIs with team members and monitor individual performance

- Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Law or related field is required.

- Customs Broker certified by General Department of Customs and Excise is preferred

- 3-5 years’ operations experience in a similar leadership role, preferably within transportation or

logistics industry.

- Fluent Speaking/Reading/Writing of English is required.

- Good Computer Skills: MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Internet & Email

- Strong leadership skill with negotiation and organization skill

- Ability to work under pressure
