Jobs Description

- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain or other relevant degree required. Master’s Degree in Supply Chain or equivalent experience strongly preferred. Professional certification(s) in supply chain a plus. - Minimum of 3 years work experience in supply chain/logistics management, with progressive responsibility, preferably with relief supply chain management. - Knowledge and experience with transportation, inventory management, and distribution. - Staff management experience and abilities that are conducive to a learning environment, including experience with designing and facilitating trainings. - Knowledge of national and international import/export legislation and common customs regulations. - Proficient in MS Office package (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio). Experience with commodity tracking systems is a plus.

Jobs Requirement

- Collaborate with direct reports and programming leads to run pipeline analyses, synchronize the supply of goods with programming needs, and ensure quality and efficiency of processes in compliance with CRS and donor regulations and international and local inventory accountability standards and requirements. - Serve as the country program’s primary point of contact with HQ Shipping and Life Link Logistic. - Provide Budget Management expertise for all cash budgets directly associated with transport, handling, storage and distribution of in-kind commodities. Collaborate with finance and other operations staff to ensure that finance and logistics/commodity policies and procedures are aligned for seamless accounting of in-kind commodities. Review the physical and financial commodities pipeline, and coordinate with Finance in reconciling accounting vs physical records in line with project objectives. - Perform control activities, analyze commodity management service requests, systems and processes and advise on compliance matters and improvements needed to mitigate risk. Conduct periodic visits to the field to inspect school warehouse facilities and ensure compliance with accepted procedures and principles. - Identify and assess transportation resources, storage facilities, leasing options, and any other logistics services. Ensure commodity management is organized and implemented to meet donor regulations, including, placing call forwards and maintaining relationships with port operations, freight forwarders, customs clearing agents and key suppliers. Participate in coordination meetings to ensure planning and coordination of supply chain management activities. - Plan and manage the distribution chain from port of arrival to beneficiary distribution sites or disposal. Proactively mitigate security risks. Oversee and ensure the proper execution of the dispatch plan; work with programs staff to verify the dispatch plan’s adherence to the distribution plan. Work with the Transport Officer and - Warehouse Manager for efficient product movement. - Ensure high-quality preparation of accurate and complete product movement reports. - Effectively manage talent and supervise. Manage team dynamics and staff well-being. Provide coaching, strategically tailor individual development plans, and complete performance management for direct reports. Monitor and assess performance to ensure adequate capacity for successful support of high-quality programming.
