Job Description ** General Description Factory Manager is responsible for general supervision of all phases of plant operations including: production, quality control, maintenance, receiving, and shipping. Responsibilities also include recruiting, hiring and training personnel and facility/physical plant up-keep and capital improvements. In addition the Factory Manager will be responsible for annual budget planning and execution. They will work closely with the production team to increase productivity and profitability within the manufacturing operation of Garland. This person must be trained and have at least 5 years of experience including best practices in both managerial and production platforms. Job Responsibilities - Provide leadership for the successful day-to-day operation of the facility. - Work closely with quality personnel to review product consistency while monitoring scrap rates to determine trends and areas of improvement. - Review established production schedules for all manufacturing departments to insure established inventory levels are met while operating at the highest efficiency possible. - Coordinate the hiring and training of all manufacturing personnel. - Monitor operation expenses and research ways to reduce costs while maintaining product quality. - Work closely with the Environmental Health and Safety Manager to ensure all members of the manufacturing team are aware of safety policies to provide a safe workplace for our employees. - Maintain Inventory levels and control flow of product from our subsidiaries. - Maintain and support a superior safety and housekeeping program, including all timely communication initiatives. - Develop and execute the plant manufacturing budgets. - Analyze workforce requirements. - Conduct performance appraisals and provide coaching and guidance to all operations employees. - Encourage and promote operating in a continuous improvement environment. - Remove production constraints; allocate human and equipment resources and direct production employees to attain all established goals. - Remove waste and constraints from the production process to improve efficiencies and enhance productivity. - Communicate with research and development as well as product management personnel to develop new product strategies. - Work with purchasing manager to develop and improve supplier relationships. - Create purchase orders for Purchasing Manager to place orders. - Coordinate the relationship with our union workforce force and negotiate union contracts as needed. - Maintain security system and access readers.

At least BSc. Degree in engineering, chemistry, agricultural agronomy or any other related - degree from accredited by higher learning institution. - cassava starch plant Director, Project Manager, Engineer - Have an excellent understanding of Asean agro commodities markets - Have Experience with food or rice industry - Experience in cassava bio-ethanol production is a strong asset - Expert with at least 5 years in diverse areas encompassing Operations and Maintenance in cassava starch plant, Installation, Commissioning, Project Planning & Management. - Experience in cassava starch production - Proven experience in handling raw materials for cassava starch production - Organize and execute production in-line with planned production schedule during commissioning. - To maintain the parameter to achieve standard specification of cassava starch. - Proven experience in Project planning, execution and troubleshooting, exceptional strengths in striking perfect coordination with all stakeholders – company, team and client to catalyze work performance and ensure project execution within defined cost/time parameters. - Good knowledge of Industrial Standards and Safety Norms, while commissioning projects; demonstrated capability in installation, commissioning, operations and maintenance of a wide range of process machinery/equipment and process operation of cassava starch plant. - Focused and hardworking professional equipped with thorough knowledge and technical understanding coupled with an analytic bent of mind and confident to take challenging assignments. -from factory background.
