Jobs Description

** The Social Work Manager will be primarily responsible for ensuring that the social work team is carrying out their tasks safely and effectively, while simultaneously carrying a small caseload. This position reports to the Manager and will have regular access to a social work supervisor and external technical advisors. This position will be based in Phnom Penh with regular travel to the provinces. ** Key Areas of Responsibility ** Staff Management - Provide leadership and oversight of all activities related to social work - Create and maintain a professional environment for the social work team, prioritizing child protection, confidentiality, accountability, and transparency - Provide formal supervision to the social work team through individual sessions and case conferencing meetings - Guide the social work team through conflict resolution when needed - Contribute to the development of training for the social work team - Assist in managing the budget for social work and client related costs - Develop reports on the progress of the social work team and as requested - Work together with other project staff and advisors - Participate in the hiring process of new social work team members - Meet and liaise with local authorities and NGO partners as necessary ** Case Management - Conduct assessments of children and families - Facilitate reconnection between children and their families - Develop care plans for children and support plans for families - Coordinate life skills training for youth - Conduct service mapping in target communities - Coordinate and facilitate client access to relevant services - Conduct regular monitoring visits - Keep accurate and up-to-date records on case management system

Jobs Requirement

** Essential Criteria - Khmer national - Strong commitment to upholding child rights and child protection - Strong commitment to working in partnership with families and communities to support children - Knowledge of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and the UN Guidelines for the Alternative Care of Children - Knowledge of reintegration and family and community based care models - Case management skills - Interpersonal and communication skills - Problem solving and conflict mediation skills ** Desired Criteria - Experience in a management position - Educational qualifications in social work or a related field - Experience working with institutionalized children - Experience in social work with at-risk children, youth, and families - Counseling skills - Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel - Written and oral English language skills
