1. Berth Scheduling and Coordination:

- Schedule and allocate berths for incoming and outgoing vessels.

- Coordinate with ship captains, shipping agents, and port personnel to arrange berthing

plans.

- Maintain and update the berth allocation system to reflect real-time vessel movements.

2. Communication:

- Serve as the primary point of contact for vessel berthing inquiries.

- Communicate berthing instructions and updates to ship captains, pilots, tug operators,

and terminal staff.

- Address any changes in berthing schedules promptly and efficiently.

3. Operational Management:

- Monitor vessel movements and ensure safe and efficient docking, mooring, and departure of vessels.

- Coordinate with pilots, tugs, and mooring gangs to facilitate vessel berthing operations.

- Ensure compliance with port regulations and safety standards during berthing operations.

4. Record Keeping and Reporting:

- Maintain accurate records of vessel arrivals, departures, and berth assignments.

- Prepare and distribute daily berthing schedules and reports.

- Analyze berthing data to identify trends and areas for improvement

5. Problem Solving:

- Address and resolve any issues or conflicts related to berth allocation and vessel

scheduling.

- Implement contingency plans for unexpected events such as delays, equipment failures,

or adverse weather conditions.

- Liaise with relevant authorities and stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.

6. Safety and Compliance:

- Ensure all berthing operations comply with port safety and environmental regulations.

- Conduct regular inspections of berthing facilities and equipment.

- Report any safety hazards or incidents to the relevant authorities.

7. Continuous Improvement:

- Review and assess berthing procedures to enhance efficiency and reduce vessel

turnaround times.

- Collaborate with port operations staff to implement best practices and operational

improvements.

- Participate in training and development programs to stay updated on industry standards and technologies.

- Languages:

- Fluent in at least 2 of the following; KHMER, ENGLISH, CHINESE Additionally languages or

fluency in all 3 are major plus points.

- Experience:

- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in port operations, vessel

coordination, or maritime logistics.

- Experience with berth scheduling and vessel traffic management systems is preferred.
