• Read and publicize all official memo(s) to students, attend all meetings and orientation

at the beginning and/or throughout the term (meetings and orientation are mandatory).

• Teach Literacy and numeracy along with personal, social and emotional skills.

• Employ a variety of instructional techniques and teaching strategies to meet different aptitudes and interests of students, including whole group/ small group or individual

learning.

• Follow course syllabus provided by Aii Language Center.

• Help with the integration of technology into the classroom, helping set up computers and projectors, for example.

• Be well planned for her/ his class. Design and follow a complete teaching plan.

• Initiate, plan, organize, and participate in activities, including extracurricular activities, training, and workshops (extracurricular activity is mandatory if required).

• Work in collaboration with Aii Language Center management team.

• Assist in developing a curriculum that takes an overall approach to English/Chinese

study and focus on a specific aspect of language use.

• Teach students English/Chinese skills, such as listening, reading, writing and speaking.

• Establish and maintain communication between parents of students and the school in

the program.

• Engage parents and families in their student’s learning and acting as an ambassador for the school in the community.

• Contribute productively to the school as a whole.

• Write student report cards using the online continuous assessment with their overall

performance.

• Organize learning materials and resources.

• Use a variety of activities and instructional methods.

• Assess student’s performance and progress to ensure they are mastering the skills on

regular basis.

• Monitor children’s interactions and nurture cooperation and sharing.

• Follow and comply with teaching standards.

• Establish and enforce rules for behavior, and procedures for maintaining order.

• Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students’ varying needs

and interests.

• Bachelor degree in Education or equivalent

• Master degree is a plus

• Excellent problem-solving skills, and able to use initiative

• Ability to patiently work with people from a variety of backgrounds, cultures, religious

views

• Ability to calmly manage and prioritize multiple tasks

• An approachable and friendly spirit, easy to smile and a can-do attitude

• Excellent computer skills with the MS Office Suite and proficient with Social Media

• Ability to employ technology

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written in English

• Strong administrative and organizational skills
