Job Description

Legal Manager is primarily responsible for the well-functioning of the Group Legal department by leading and managing the preparation, negotiation and reviewing of legal documents, letters and contracts required by the Group. He or She monitor compliance with laws and regulations related to all business activities in order to mitigate risks, as well as liaise with the competent authorities, lawyers, registration service providers to apply for the relevant business and operating license.

1. The establishment of civil/commercial contract, particularly immovable property contract, and construction/development agreement.

2. The participation of litigation procedure in all courts’ tier in relation to both civil and criminal procedure.

3. Direct the research about the legal issues and provide legal consultations to the Senior Management

4. Ensure the legal compliance of company’s business objectives and activities

5. Ensure the good keeping of all minutes of the meeting and resolutions of shareholders/board of directors, legal related documents in both hard and soft copies

6. Oversee the operations of the Group Legal department

7. Perform other tasks assigned by Line Manager or Senior Management.

Job Requirements

- Education: Master of Laws Degree

- Experience: at least 5 years

- Knowledge: Strong knowledge in commercial and business laws, civil code, civil procedure, legal statutes and legislations on construction, development, and land laws.

- Language: Khmer and English (other languages are an advantage)

- Computer literacy: Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel
