-Provide support of the leadership in the delivery of reliable, accurate, timely and well informed advice pertaining to legal issues and the potential legal implications of business transactions, initiative and projects -Review and advice management on legal implications of internal policies, corporate secretary works/assignments and procedures for Insurance matters. -Review all contracts and assess legal implications that need to be brought to the executive management’s attention. -Perform corporate secretarial duties and responsibilities in respect of ELIC as required by corporate laws statues and various regulations and governance requirements pertaining to Cambodian Laws generally or the insurance regulator of Cambodia (Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) or its equivalent, specifically . -Provide Compliance oversight and support that support the business objective while meeting regulatory obligations and enhancing the reputation of the Company. -Effective policies, procedures and controls are in place/ up to-date, satisfies regulatory obligations related among others, to anti money laundering, sanctions screening, anti-corruption, complaint handling & sales practices requirements. -Compliance with regulatory developments, tracking, training and communication of new regulatory and legislative requirements to the Company and its employees. -Alignment of compliance oversight with the Etiqa compliance management framework (CMF).

-A Law Degree -Qualifies to act as Secretary (if applicable under Cambodian Law) -At least 3 – 5 years of experience relevant post qualifications working experience, preferably in legal firms, in house lawyers in insurance & takaful companies or financial institutions. -Additional exposure/experience in regulatory compliance/advisory matters will be a beneficial and added advantage; -Strong problem solving skills, detail oriented with the ability to understand multiple perspectives, identify and negotiate solutions across the organization. -High level of knowledge and skills on corporate secretarial matters. -Able to provide expert advice on corporate governance matters. -Key leadership attributes working in a collaborative and solutions based mind set
