Jobs Description

Key Responsibilities: Efficient month end process: • Implement financial system and procedures to ensure earlier month end and yearend meet deadline (Local and group level) • Financial report to be 100% accurate, reliable and complete • Report any unusual deviation to CFO Implement financial Policy and procedure: • 100% compliance with internal company policy • 100% compliance with legal requirement • Maintained and updated all standard Operation procedure (SOP) • Financial policies and procedures communicated and available to all employee Control Financial Information: • Current and historic information available within reasonable time • General ledger reconciliations reviewed monthly • Check monthly balance sheet reconciliations and resolve critical outstanding items • All General ledger accounts fully reconciled and outstanding items followed up and cleared • Perform regular internal control checks in all departments and ensure compliance to policies and internal controls • Evaluate accuracy of cost allocations of all departments, ensure costs are correctly allocated as per chart of accounts • Process correcting journals if required • Resolve all outstanding internal deviations Managed Internal Control: • No major out of line items • No material internal control weaknesses identified during internal and external audits • Advice and assistance provided to managers an all internal control weakness • All audit points identified addressed and cleared • All internal and external audit weaknesses implemented within 3 weeks for critical issues and 6 weeks for medium and low risk issues. • All internal audit recommendations and actions addressed within agreed timeframes • All recommendations and corrective actions fully operational Managed working capital, including cash: • 100% Compliance to finance policies & procedures for cash management by cashier and petty cash assistant • Review daily cash & petty cash report • Conduct surprise count & month end count both stock and cash • Working Capital management, payment of suppliers according to approved credit system • Payments to suppliers should not be made before due date (including AP approvals) • Recording, confirming & reconciling inter-company balances, including Sending debit/credit notes Manage statutory Requirement: • All statutory returns and payments (Co tax returns, provisional tax payments) to be completed and submitted by due dates Managed year-end process: • Compliance to format and guidelines of year-end-packs provided to Finance Dept. from group office • Year-end packs accurate and completed as per deadlines • All regional accounting records 100% compliant with company policy • No material differences on year end packs Quality management/People Development: • All development gaps identified per team member • Individual trained and developed as per development plan • Enforce FI management routines • Accountable for adopting own safety behaviour and report unsafe behaviour /conditions/practice of others Managed AR/Grant credit: • Compliance to company policy and procedures • Assist in determining/reviewing credit limits with relevant securities as per policy • Recommendation as to whether credit to be granted or not HR Services: • Discipline applies as per CBC Policies and procedures • All grievances attended to as per CBC policies and procedures • All breaches of CBC policies and procedures reported to HR services within 24 hours

Jobs Requirement

Requirements: • Bachelor Degree in Finance and preferred ACCA, CPA, MBA • At least 5 Years experiences in Financial Accounting • At least 3 Years experiences in costing, budgeting and reporting • English – Fluency in writing, speaking and listening
