Jobs Description

Kambujaya is currently recruiting a mid-level Accountant with at least 2 years work experience—ideally within the real estate development and construction industries. As an Accountant, this person will be responsible for the daily accounting management of the startup company. The position will report directly to the Managing Director. The Accountant will be primarily focused on booking entries into Quickbooks, assisting with procurement, processing payments, preparing monthly reports, and filing any tax declarations. They will also be asked to support the rest of the team with other miscellaneous admin/financial related tasks as needed. We are a start-up company-- so we’re looking for the right person to grow and learn with us.

Jobs Requirement

TASKS: - Oversee all accounting activities of small real estate development company (sales, costs, cash management, P&L reporting, etc.). - Oversee, analyze, and manage all accounting functions (A/R, A/P, G/L, fixed assets, cash collections/deposits, monthly closing, taxation, and others). - Administrate frequent financial reports –ensure proper recording of weekly accounting entries and reconciliation of any variances. - Assist with procurement and monitoring of inventory control - Liaise with other individuals from the construction team, sales/marketing, and external third parties OTHER: - Khmer National - Fluent in English AND Khmer (written and spoken) - 4-Year education at an accredited institution – Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Auditing or related field. - Minimum 2 years of professional experience – Proven knowledge of bookkeeping, accounting standards, laws & regulation. - Ideally, this person should have prior experience working in a real estate development company or construction company - Independent and able to work under minimal supervision— this position might be a “one person” show (i.e. you are the entire accounting department)-- at least until the company grows. - Thus, you’re expected to get stuff done on your own, but luckily the guy you’ll be reporting to has a background in accounting/finance. - Flexible, honest, and hard-working— We are looking for good people with the right attitude. You don’t have to know everything when you come in, but we want people who are eager to learn. We can get help you get additional training and allow you to grow with us as the team continues to expand and take on more projects. - Reliable and well organized—The team needs to be able to trust and depend on you (plus, the guy you’re reporting to might not be the most organized) - Team oriented and open minded—We are a startup, so you’re going to have to play nice with people who may have different types of personalities and backgrounds! - Currently or willing to be based in Phnom Penh.
