Jobs Description

1) Overall Purpose of the Role: The Financial Controller is the leader of the Finance team with responsibilities for: • Financial & Management Reporting: to local Management and Group Finance • Business Partnering with the CEO/Divisional GM’s/ AVR GM, providing analysis and insights on the business performance • Transaction Processing: managing the transaction processing and reviewing/approving as per the Bill of Authorities. • Financial Management: including Business Planning, Budgeting and Forecasting and comparisons of Actual vs Budget/Forecast • Capital Expenditure • Internal control and • Leading, Managing, and Developing/Coaching the staff. 1.1) Financial & Management Reporting: Responsible for: • Preparation of the Year-End Statutory Financial Statements and liaise with External Auditors • Preparation of the Year-End Group Company Consolidation Pack • Preparation of Quarterly Condensed Financial Statements • Preparation of the Monthly Financial Statements • Preparation of the Monthly Management Reports for Local Management • Preparation of Quarterly & Annual CSX/SECC Reports 1.2) Business Partnering/Planning, Reporting & Performance Analysis • Lead/coordinate the preparation of Business Plans, Annual Budgets, and Revised Forecasts • Provide Monthly Financial Commentary with an explanation of major variances, movements, and trends. • Provide CEO/GMs with financial input with respect to Business Plans, Capital Expenditure, etc. • Participate and contribute to Monthly and Quarterly Review Meetings and ExCom Meetings • Provide ad-hoc financial input/insights to Management as appropriate. 1.3) Transaction Processing and Financial Databases • Manage the transaction processing for all Accounting information and related ledgers and sub-ledgers. • Manage and maintain updated Financial databases/master files. [some master files controlled by Bangkok] 1.4) Financial Management • Manage the Costing team and ensure ex-works and landed costs changes are reported to Management • Monitor and advice re Cost of Sales and Overhead costs • Capital Expenditure: control and report on CapEx and Disposals 1.5) Internal Control • Ensure processes are in place to safeguard the Company assets such as Physical Stock Takes, Asset Inspections, Cash Counts ..etc • Agree with CEO/GM and CFO appropriate Bill of Authority and monitor to ensure compliance • Ensure appropriate Segregation of Duties to provide check and balance • Regularly review variances between Actual vs Budget and Trends and identify and investigate causes • Ensure Month End Checklist in place and complied with for key reconciliations (e.g. Bank, etc.) and other key controls • Follow up on any Internal Audit Reports and External Auditors Management letters and ensure identified weaknesses addressed in a timely manner. 1.6 Treasury/Cash Management Provide necessary Cash Flow information/forecasts to Treasurer so that the Treasurer can: • Prepare Weekly/Monthly Cash Flow forecasts and ensure the adequacy of Bank Facilities • Provide necessary Financial information to Bankers and answers to questions from Banks • Support the Treasurer in arranging/negotiating new Bank Facilities as required 1.7) Taxation [Indirect vs Direct] Provide necessary Accounting information to enable the Tax Manager to: • Calculate Monthly Tax on Profit • Advise re any monthly movement in Deferred Tax • Advice re any Double Tax Agreement implementation [particularly with regard Withholding Tax [WHT]] • Liaise with Tax Team with regards to WHT declaration and payment • Prepare and submit Estimated Monthly Tax Return and Payments • Support Group and Tax Manager with respect to Transfer Pricing studies/policies.

Jobs Requirement

• Minimum 7 years experience in a Management position within a significant finance function • Supervisory/leadership/management skills • Experience in the Automotive/Equipment distribution business an advantage • Experience in leading a big diversified team • Excellent knowledge of integrated ERP Systems • Excellent communication and command of written and spoken English
