-Requires a degree in general medicine from an accredited school and is licensed to practice. May require at least 2-4 years of ultrasounds and radiology experience. -Examine different images including mammograms, CT scans, x-rays, MRI scans and ultrasounds. -Read reports and record results for review by physicians -Diagnose patient illnesses. -Recommend and discuss treatment options with other physicians. -Explain medical procedures or test results to patients or family members. -Interpret images using computer-aided detection or diagnosis systems. -Schedule examinations and assign radiologic personnel. -Develop healthcare quality and safety procedures. -Working full-time.
