- Develop machine learning (ML) models to answer business needs, in particular credit risk models - Testing, validation, deployment, and documentation of credit risk models - Integrate traditional and non-traditional data sources (including social media, telecom, behavioral, etc.) and select relevant features to train models - Collaborate with underwriting team, risk team(s) and top management to build and evaluate models ensuring such models are in-line with the company’s credit-risk and growth strategies - Collaborate closely with the IT team to pilot and roll-out credit scoring models - Support ad hoc analytics needs, providing statistical inference and predictive modeling to various business units and thus transforming large, complex datasets into pragmatic, actionable insights

- At least bachelor degree, preferred Master degree, in the following fields: computer science, mathematics, or statistics - At least 5 years of experience with performing hands-on data science and ML with clear understanding of ML workflow and best practices - Advanced knowledge of probabilities, statistics, ML techniques (supervised and unsupervised learning such as trees and deep neural networks, reinforcement learning, etc.) on large data sets - Strong knowledge of Python and data-science related libraries including Pandas, Seaborn, Keras, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, etc. - Proficiency in using query languages such as SQL - Outstanding critical thinking, data-driven thinking and ability to solve problems through a structured approach and scientific rigor - Extremely diligent and thorough, taking care to minimize mistakes and ensure accuracy and clarity - A love for data - Sound understanding of financial products, experience with financial products a plus - Self-starter with proven ability to research and learn on your own - Ability to communicate results clearly, excellent oral, written communication and presentation skills - Good English proficiency, both written and spoken ** To apply: Please send a CV and a one-page cover letter to recruitment@ifinanceplc.com and state the role that you are applying for in the email subject line.
