Jobs Description

1. Carry out strength, respiratory, range of motion, mobility and functional assessments for both in and out-patients following sickness and injury including strokes, fractures and head injuries 2. Design, implement, monitor and adapt appropriate treatment plans for the management of these patients 3. Train patients and family members in the use of walking aids, wheelchairs, braces, slings and other assistive devices 4. Educate patients and family members on the importance of physical exercise 5. Contribute to the in-house training sessions for hospital staff in areas relevant to Physical Therapy 6. Keep appropriate records and statistics 7. Liaise appropriately with other professionals such as doctors and nurses 8. Assist with the design and implementation of new pathways and processes to develop the Physical Therapy service in line with National Standards 9. Attend morning ward rounds to receive new referrals and discuss cases 10. Make appropriate referrals to outside agencies such as ICRC 11. Work flexibly as part of a team, covering surgical and medical cases and assisting with traction and casting as staffing requires 12. Assist with the supervision and training of physical therapy assistants

Jobs Requirement

1. Must be qualified as Physiotherapist by the national institutes/university; 2. Able to work in team and collaborate with other medical staff; 3. Willingness to learn and work under supervision; 4. Ability to work under pressure and be friendly with patients and all staff; 5. Willing to listen attentively to a patient's issues and be readily available to answer questions. 6. Must be able to write, read and speak English; 7. Highly motivated to serve the poor and needy patients; and 8.
