- Participate in the design coordination meeting to focus on the architectural styles, façade, structure, and their implications for material choice, construction methods. - Ensure effective communication and negotiation between all design consultants and designers in order to ensure high quality of design. - Ensure the design team produces correct and final shop drawings- if not production drawings- for the site engineers to follow - Coordinate work with the external consultant and cost and planning team to prepare detailed list of materials needed to achieve design intent. - Ensure that the site manager, site supervisors and site engineers fully and correctly understand the shop drawing and crucial design features of each projects by providing training and or running workshop for them before the start of the construction work. - Coordinate work with the cost and planning/ Qs team to ensure the production of highly accurate BOQs. - Periodically make site visit to ensure construction follow design drawings - Periodically make site visit to take sample of material specifications, eg. brick dimension, to ensure that the shop-drawings are in line with actual site conditions and thus follow-able on site - Be able to synthesize feedback and relay it accurately and appropriately - Ensure the production of As-built Drawings and Manuals for each product in the project. - Maintain staff job results by counseling and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results
