I. BACKGROUND Louvain Cooperation (LC) is a Non-Governmental Organization officially recognized by the Belgian and European authorities for Development Cooperation. LC is specialized in the fields of health care, access to health care and food and economic security. Currently LC is implementing a five-year programme (2017-2021), focusing on food and economic security and health. GRET is an international development NGO, governed by French law, which acts from work on the ground all the way up influencing policy, with the aim of providing durable and innovative answers to the challenges of poverty and inequalities. GRET has been working in Cambodia since 1988 to improve access to basic services, social health protection and effective sanitation and water systems in small towns and rural areas. It also supports small farmers while promoting agroecology. Since 2011, Louvain Cooperation has been implementing a joint-project on Food and Economic Security (FES) with local organisations. Since 2010, GRET has been implementing APICI project - developing sustainable ag-riculture for smallholders’ farmers - in partnership with CIRD National NGO. The pro-ject aims at increasing incomes and at improving the livelihood of smallholder farmers through the development of sustainable agriculture by the intensification and diversifica-tion of agricultural production and the strengthening of producers groups in Siem Reap province. In addition, starting from 2015, GRET has been facilitating the emergence of a regional (Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Vietnam) multi stakeholder network to promote agroe-cology, the Agroecology Learning Alliance in South East Asia (ALiSEA, https://ali-sea.org) Louvain Cooperation is an active member of the Agroecology Learning Alliance in South East Asia (ALiSEA) network. ALiSEA is an innovative platform to network all initiatives supporting the agroecology movement and an instrument to feed public policies and sup-port wider dissemination of successful alternative agricultural practices. II. OBJECTIVES OF SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURE TECHNICAL OFFICER The person is recruited for the position as a Sustainable Agriculture Technical Officer and it is a full-time position who will spend 50% of his/her time for GRET on APICI and ALiSEA projects related work and 50% of time on the Food and Economic Security (FES) joint-project between Louvain Cooperation and its local partners, namely Mlup Baitong, FAEC and RUA. III. MAIN RESPONSABILITIES 1. Agroecology knowledge gathering and sharing  Support communication strategy related to APICI and FES projects including writing, editing and distributing content (video, website, leaflet, cases studies, report etc.);  Undertake agroecology related issue watch for both projects: newspapers / websites / updates on AE at national level;  Manage a dedicated Facebook page for ALiSEA à Photos, videos, articles  Support organization of awareness workshop and field days targeting Cam-bodian journalists to aware them on agriculture and rural issues in the frame of ru-ral networks project;  Pursue the sustainability assessment of agroecological farms in order to in-crease the number of case studies and support APICI project capitalization work;  Support co-building references on agroecology for horticulture production and value chain with innovative and experimented farmers in Siem Reap;  Assist in the supervision of capitalization products related to the FES project such as studies, research, guidelines or case studies, success stories which are implemented by LC’s partners.  Assist partners in developing SA and AE training curriculum. Search for avail-able IEC materials related to SA or AE such as booklets, leaflets, posters that can be used by partners during trainings or field activities. Assist partners in organiz-ing the SA or AE trainings to farmers and other relevant trainings to beneficiar-ies.  Facilitate field work preparation and implementation with professors and stu-dents from collaborating Universities including support to South Engineer pro-ject in Belgium for their internship and develop project sheet related to SA or AE’s related selected topics. 2. Monitoring and Follow-up of Project Implementation  Provide monitoring and follow up visits to the FES project’s activities in Kam-pong Thom and Kampong Cham, including the provision of technical advisory support to project staff, local and international volunteers or students involved, in order to improve the project implementation, keep track on project progress, ex-pected outputs and indicators and to build their knowledge and experience on sus-tainable agriculture and agroecology. - Assist partners in project data collection, recording, analysis and report writ-ing. - Assist in the implementation and follow-up of joint-actions planned between LC and Eclosio and their partners. - Overall manage, monitor and follow up support for APICI project.

IV. SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURE TECHNICAL OFFICER PROFILE AND SKILLS The person is hired for above position will work in collaboration with ALiSEA project team, Regional coordinator of ALiSEA, National Network Facilitator in Lao PDR, and National coordinator in Myanmar, to support network expansion and facilitation. For APICI project, this person will work under the supervision of Project manager of GRET and HQ program manager of GRET. For his/her duty on the FES project of Louvain Cooperation, this person will work under the supervision of Programme Manager of Louvain Cooperation and in collaboration with Country Director of Louvain Cooperation. 1. Diploma / level of studies: • Bachelor or Master degree in the field of agriculture, rural development or relevant field 2. Required skills • At least five years of professional experience in agricultural project; • Experience in institutional representation and networking; • Good knowledge of agroecology stakeholders; • Experience in documenting case study, and ability to collect and share information (workshops, trainings, job vacancies…) • Fluency in Khmer and English (written and spoken) including excellent writing skill; • Computer proficiency, Social Medias, Internet browsing; • Very good communication skills and inter-personal skills; • Reliable committed and hardworking; • Creative and ready to develop and experience innovative approaches; • Autonomous and resourceful. 3. Conditions Full-time job vacancy for 12 months contract with LC and GRET, with a possibly of ex-tension. The job is based in the province, either in Siem Reap or in Kampong Thom and include possible missions in other provinces, Phnom Penh as well as aboard. The Sustainable Ag V.
