•Assess credit worthiness by evaluating loan applications & documentation within PLB policy & specified limits. •Ensure completeness of documentation & verify the information provided by communicating effectively with clients either to request or to provide information & interview potential applicants to determine financial eligibility & feasibility of granting loans; Conduct site visits where deemed appropriate to verify information & details in the applications. •Review & determine all applicable ratios, metrics & set up debt payment plans, based on PLB guidelines. •Recommend to the Retail Loan Manager &/OR other approving authority for decisions. •Justify decisions (recommendations/approvals/rejections) & report on them; any & all deviations are identified & adequately addressed. Be proactive in identifying, managing & communicating risks. •Complete loan contracts & counsel clients in compliance within PLB guidelines & policies, process, procedures & restrictions. •Conduct credit bureau (CBC) checking & other applicable blacklist requirements; Operate in strict compliance with Cambodian laws & regulations & adhere to lending compliance guidelines. •Maintain & update account records; Assess customer needs, explore all options & introduce different types of loans; •Go the “extra mile” to build trust relationships, customer loyalty & satisfaction throughout the process •Develop referral networks, suggest alternate channels & cross-sell products & services whenever necessary to accomplish higher revenue •Builds relationship with other business units & relevant parties to improve quality of business proposals, service & turnaround time on evaluations, etc. •Behave in an honest, respectful & ethical manner in alignment with PLB’s code of ethics; credit principles, policies, processes & procedures are followed & complied with, in all transactions. •Keep updated on personal skills & job knowledge on types of loans & other financial services •All other matters ancillary to the above & to perform any other related duties that required from time to time.

•2 – 3 years of relevant &/or related experience as a loan officer •Working knowledge with computers & banking applications/software •Excellent communication & interpersonal skills (with English language skills preferably) •Customer satisfaction orientation & sales competencies •Ability to work in a goal oriented TEAM environment •BSc degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or a related field
