Jobs Description

- Ensure that MdM Outreach Prevention Strategy (based on peer-to-peer model) and its activities are implemented through the development of clear action plans in each base taking into consideration MdM “minimum prevention services package” (Health Education, distribution of needles and syringes & condoms, referral to HIV, Methadone and medical services, etc.) - Lead regular prevention strategy review taking into consideration KAP and programme needs as well as operating environment constraints. - Ensure that prevention teams and their managers are well trained on the Outreach Prevention Strategy and equipped to implement activities efficiently. - Lead the analysis of outreach prevention outcomes to further inform strategy development. - Together with the DFC and Programme Managers lead the development and review of the Needles and Syringes Exchanges Programme (NSEP) and Overdose Management Programme (ODMP) implemented through peers. - Coordinate with the DFC-T to establish clear and measurable outreach objectives and targets for various sites on a regular basis. - Support the development of clear mapping of needs and activities coverage in each area of intervention to inform outreach prevention activities development. - Ensure that specific strategies are in place to link prevention activities to medical activities and maximize clients’ service uptakes in the different areas and contexts. - Coordinate with Community Mobilization team to ensure regular collection of feedbacks from stakeholders including PWUD community in the design and implementation of outreach prevention activities. - Develop appropriate tools and reporting mechanisms to ensure the qualitative follow up of clients reached during outreach prevention activities. - Regularly analyses and measure the outcomes and impact of outreach services. - Propose comprehensive strategy to implement prevention activities at KPSC level and technically support its implementation at field level. - Review prevention sessions contents and proposed necessary updates. - Ensure that specific strategies are in place to link prevention activities to medical activities and maximize clients’ service uptakes. - Propose clear plan of action for the regular assessment, review and updates of BCC materials - Supervise BCC Officer in the implementation of the plan of action. - Ensure that BCC materials developed respond to KAP needs following appropriate development processes. - Coordinate with Community Mobilization and Medical teams in the development of BCC materials through the development process. - Ensure that line managed collaborators have clear objectives, work plans and necessary support in the implementation of their regular activities. - Ensure regular performance review of line managed collaborators. - Participate in the recruitment of collaborators involved in prevention related activities. - Develop clear capacity building plan for prevention teams in line with MdM prevention strategies and participate in the elaboration and implementation o relevant training sessions - Provide technical supervision and recommendation to prevention teams and their management through regular field visits, training and on the job coaching. - Regularly orient MdM staff on prevention activities and strategy implementation - Ensure KAP and teams feedbacks are used to inform further prevention activities development.

Jobs Requirement

- Graduate in relevant field (health, social, management) - Minimum 5 - year experience in the field of Harm Reduction / HIV / AIDS prevention with national or international organization - Fluent oral and Witten Burmese and English - Team management, Strategy development, Networking & Advocacy, Report writing, Behavior Change communication, Computer skills, Analytical skills - Sound knowledge of HR/ HIV/AIDS - Good Interpersonal and communication skills - Team spirit - 40Able to travel frequently to field bases (40% of the time) - Special interest in humanitarian and social work
