System Design

• Design HVAC systems (heating, ventilation, air conditioning)
• Design Electrical systems (lighting, power distribution, fire alarm systems)
• Design Plumbing systems (water supply, drainage, sewage)
• Ensure designs meet project specifications and client requirements

Drafting & Modeling

• Prepare detailed drawings using software like AutoCAD, Revit, or Navisworks
• Develop 2D drawings and 3D BIM models
• Update drawings based on revisions and feedback

Coordination

• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and contractors
• Resolve design clashes between MEP and other building systems
• Participate in coordination meetings and reviews

Code Compliance & Standards

• Ensure designs comply with local building codes and safety regulations
• Apply international standards where required (ASHRAE, NEC, IPC, etc.)

Calculations & Analysis

• Perform load calculations (cooling/heating loads)
• Size equipment and systems appropriately
• Analyze energy efficiency and sustainability

Documentation

• Prepare technical reports, specifications, and BOQs (Bill of Quantities)
• Maintain accurate design records and documentation

Site Support

• Provide technical support during construction
• Review shop drawings and material submittals
• Conduct site inspections when needed
