Jobs Description

Lead the planning, design, implementation, and commissioning of comprehensive Distribution Automation schemes.
Configure, and troubleshoot IEC 60870-5-104 communications over wireless technologies (e.g., cellular), ensuring robust and secure data transfer for DA applications.
Oversee the integration of diverse IEDs, RTUs, smart sensors, and reclosers from multiple manufacturers into the DA system, ensuring seamless interoperability and data exchange via IEC 60870-5-104.
Collaborate with IT/OT network teams to design and optimize wireless communication infrastructure to support real-time DA applications, considering latency, bandwidth, and cybersecurity requirements
Provide expert-level technical support for DA systems, diagnosing complex communication, control, and hardware issues in the field and at the control center.
Manage Technical aspects of DA projects end-to-end.
Ensure all DA designs and implementations comply with industry standards (e.g., IEEE, NERC, IEC), regulatory requirements, and internal company policies.
Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and training to junior engineers and field personnel on DA concepts, systems, and best practices.
Effectively liaise with equipment vendors, technology partners, and internal stakeholders (e.g., operations, planning, IT) to ensure successful project outcomes.

Jobs Requirement

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Geoinformatics, or a related field.
Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in distribution utility operations, specifically focused on Distribution Automation, SCADA, and smart grid technologies.
In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with IEC 60870-5-104/101 protocol implementation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
Extensive experience with designing, implementing, and maintaining wireless communication systems for utility applications (e.g., 4G/5G cellular, licensed/unlicensed radio, Wi-Fi mesh, LoRaWAN, NB-IoT).
Strong understanding of distribution network topology, protection schemes, fault characteristics, and operational practices.
Proven experience with advanced distribution grid functionalities.
Proven experience in managing complex, large-scale utility integration projects.
Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices as they apply to wireless and industrial control systems (ICS/OT).
Exceptional analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills for complex technical challenges.
