Jobs Description

Lead the technical planning, design, and execution for the implementation of the GE e-terra EMS platform for utility-scale projects and the integrated GE Power On ADMS and GE Small world GIS platforms.
Serve as the primary technical expert for the GIS-to-ADMS data flow, ensuring model accuracy and consistency between GE Small world and GE Power On.
Act as a technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) on GE e-terra capabilities, guiding cross-functional teams and mentoring junior engineers.
Develop and maintain the EMS power system network models, displays, and databases to accurately reflect the real-time grid topology and operational needs.
Work closely with SCADA teams to ensure seamless data acquisition from Remote Terminal Units (RTUs) and other intelligent electronic devices (IEDs).
Configure, test, and tune ADMS functions such as Outage Management (OMS), Fault Location, Isolation, and Service Restoration (FLISR), and Volt/VAR Optimization (VVO).
Develop and maintain the power distribution network models within Small world GIS, and ensure timely and accurate data synchronization with the ADMS environment.
Perform data migration, quality control, and validation to ensure the integrity and accuracy of the network model used for real-time operations.
Implement and troubleshoot system interfaces and data exchange using common industry standards like the Common Information Model (CIM), ensuring interoperability with other enterprise systems (e.g., AMI, EMS, Asset Management).
Support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and lead the deployment and commissioning of the AEMS & ADMS system.
Provide advanced technical support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution in a high-pressure, 24/7 control center environment.
Collaborate with control room operators, field crews, and other engineering teams to define requirements, support operational workflows, and provide expert guidance.
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including system specifications, integration diagrams, operational procedures, and test plans.
Mentor junior engineers and cross-functional teams on the complexities of the AEMS, ADMS and GIS platforms and their integration

Jobs Requirement

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Geoinformatics, or a related field.
10+ years of hands-on experience in implementing and maintaining AEMS/ADMS/GIS systems, with a minimum of 5 years of focused experience on GE e-terra/Grid OS, GE Power On and GE Small world.
Deep, hands-on experience with GE Small world GIS (e.g., Electric Office, Geospatial Network Management) and GE e-terra EMS.
Knowledge of EMS applications, including AGC, Economic Dispatch (ED), State Estimation (SE), and Contingency Analysis (CA).
Proficiency in GE Power On ADMS (e.g., Advantage, Fusion, Control) and its associated modules (SCADA, DMS, OMS).
Expertise in GIS-to-ADMS integration, including network model synchronization and data governance.
Strong programming and scripting skills using Magik for Smallworld customization and PL/SQL, Shell, or Python for system automation.
Solid understanding of utility communication protocols (e.g., DNP3, IEC 61850).
Proficiency with Oracle databases, including spatial extensions (PostGIS), and advanced SQL for data management and reporting.
Familiarity with industry standards such as CIM (IEC 61968), NERC, WECC for system integration.
