Main Responsibilities: 1) Train and coach laboratory staff • He/she will be in charge of coaching 3 public clinical laboratories: Settathirath, Luang Prabang and Khammouane • He/she will be in charge of the bench training and laboratory capacity building of laboratory staff • He/she will train the laboratory staff on pathogen identification, AST procedures and antibiotic resistance mechanisms in each site • He/she will be in charge of developing SOP for the laboratory • He/she will train the laboratory staff on lab management, biosafety & biosecurity, quality insurance and Data management 2) General organization of the project • He/she will work in close collaboration with the Head of Project, the Regional Coordinator and Fondation Mérieux Head Quarter • He/she will respond to the project requirement and the Foundation Mérieux diligence • He/she will develop and translate laboratory protocols • He/she will travel across the country frequently, 3 weeks per months • He/she will work in close collaboration with the national reference laboratory and the Ministry of Health

Initial Background : laboratory professional o Specialization : microbiology o Knowledge of the ISO 15189 quality assurance standard or LQSI (Laboratory Quality Stepwise Implementation tool - WHO) would be an asset o Experience in the position : 3-5 year-experience in a microbiology laboratory o Required job skills (RJS) o Master Pack Office software and basic LIMS system o Excellent writing skills (reports) o Required comportemental skills (RCS) o Ability to work in an international and multicultural environment o Languages o Lao o English
