Provision of interpreter services for non-English or limited English speaking individuals and companions/family members Sight translation as needed for medical forms Complete a minimum of 8 Continuing Education Units per year Complete required training annually (HIPAA, Fraud & Waste, etc.) Stay up-to-date on all required medical immunizations

Qualifications: Authorized to work in the U.S. Active status on the Minnesota Spoken Language Health Care Interpreter Roster 40 Hours of interpreter training required or willingness to complete Agreement to participate in Department of Human Services Background Check Two or more years of interpreting experience required High School or GED Required, some college education preferred Professional demeanor and appearance Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Spoken fluency in all languages listed on application Proof of fluency exam or sign-up for one through Intelligere Reading and written fluency in all languages listed on application Proof of fluency exam or sign-up for one through Intelligere Knowledge and understanding of the Code of Ethics, as outlined by the National Council on Interpreting in Health Care Ability to understand and use technology (online portal and/or mobile application) or the willingness to learn Ability to pass a medical terminology examination
