We are looking for a dynamic individual with a passion for technology, interested in pursuing a career in this fast-growing supply chain industry and achieving service excellence.


The Manager Sales & Business Development is responsible for ensuring the achievement of sales targets (revenue & gross profit). The role holder must focus on new customer acquisitions and key account management to achieve sales targets. Supporting the Assistant General Manager with the day-to-day management of the station sales team is crucial to the role. The role holder must also ensure the collection of all receivables & overdue payments from local customers.


- Ensure achievement of budgeted numbers for respective products (e.g., Air Exports, Air Imports, Sea Exports, Sea Imports) for the station.

- Conduct market research and segmentation to identify new prospects/ markets/ sectors for business development; Profile prospective customers and gather intelligence on relevant information (e.g: type of business/industry, export/import volumes, commodity type, trade routes, key contact persons etc.).

- Interact with prospective customers via telephone/ e-mail to introduce EFL and schedule appointments; Conduct scheduled sales visits and present EFL's products/services, operational capabilities & strengths, partner network etc. and seek to understand customer requirements.

- Discuss rates/pricing quotes with customers while emphasizing EFL's customer service levels and operational capabilities; Collaborate with respective Product teams to negotiate and finalize rates/deals with new customers.

- Discuss credit terms with prospective customers and gather relevant financial details to assess creditworthiness; Initiate and obtain credit approvals for new customers as per EFL guidelines:

- Build and maintain professional relationships with existing customers: Establish rapport through formal visits and courtesy calls.

- Review, monitor and ensure consistent business volumes from key accounts/customers at the station; Explore opportunities to service new trade lanes and cross-sell appropriate EFL products/services (e.g., Air/Sea Exports).

- Ensure timely and appropriate resolution of all customer complaints and operational issues: Escalate issues with concerned Product teams as required.

- Review and monitor receivables at the station; Drive collection of all receivables from customers and ensure station DSO is maintained within the defined limit.

- Ensure preparation and submission of daily reports for the team to the Manager, Provide regular updates on the sales pipeline and obtain required functional support.

- Define and deploy annual & monthly revenue and gross profit targets for the station sales team

- Track and monitor daily sales calls, leads generated and conversions by the station sales team; Motivate the team to achieve and exceed their individual targets.

- Address hurdles/bottlenecks faced by the team during the sales process; Provide training inputs and guidance.


Jobs Requirement


- Professional Degree in any discipline.

- 6 to 9 years of experience.

- Must have strong experience in Freight Forwarding Sales in the region.

- Must be able to manage a small team.

- Decision Making, Sales Management, and Team Management Skills.
