Job Description

Primary Function:

This position is responsible for performing material development for Golf pride Thailand which include Global Material Development Project, Strategic Material Technology Development, Material Trouble Shooting and Global Material Continuous Improvement Project. The Thailand Material Engineer will work closely with Global Material COE to develop and deliver the global material standardization and collaborate with local site to fulfilled smooth transition and implement phase with highly achievement.

Essential Functions;

Global Material Development & Global Material Technology Development

• Execute/lead Global Material COE project under material COE roadmap by initiating, leading, managing and executing project for global material and technology development.
• Optimizing Global Material Standardization for rubber compound/paint formulas and processes worldwide.
• Comply with the global materials direction as specified by the Global Materials Leader. Ensure all raw materials used are approved by the Global Materials Leader adhering to the Global Change Management Policy.
• Develop technologies and applications for new advance material concept/project.
• Establish best practices and lessons learned on compound formulas and process controls to achieve robust product quality. Pursue continuous learning and improvement to advance the knowledge for the work team.
• Establish best practices for new material global MOC records. Establish and maintain a log of all materials and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) on all chemicals and materials used in the Taiwan R&D group. Ensure compliance with Eaton safety standards and other regulatory requirements.

Manufacturing Collaborations

• Lead in trouble shooting and improvement process for outsource compound qualification
• Collaborate Globally and locally champion Global DOEs to optimize processing and troubleshoot Scrap and Rework.
• Collaborate Continuous Improvement Project (new material and process based)

Basic

• Bachelor’s Degree in polymer / rubber technology, materials, polymer sciences or related fields.
• A strong technical professional to develop and apply state-of-the art materials technology to highly engineering technical products.
• Demonstrate strong initiative and drive for results as well as good interpersonal and teaming behavior.

Preferred

• At least 2 years experiences in rubber mixing and compounding process
• Experience with diene elastomer-based compounding.
• Able to design compound recipe and mixing step
• English communication skills, both verbal and written

Technical knowledge

• Strong in problem solving and root cause investigation
• Expertise of polymeric / rubber materials properties (chemical to physical
• properties relationships)
• Familiar with Kneader (Tangential and Intermesh) mixing.
• Knowledge in rubber mixing & compounding and MDR properties evaluation.
• Knowledge in analysis equipment such as FT-IR ,SEM&EDS ,XRF , TGA etc.,
