• The Finance Manager role is part of the global finance team of our parent company, Education Development Trust, based in the UK. • The successful candidate will be responsible for effective day to day management and leadership of the financial accounting team, with a focus on compliance, accounting standards, tax regulations and internal finance policies and procedures. • He/she will also have overall responsibility for the financial accounting, payroll, payables & receivables, insurance, commercial cost modelling, corporate governance and budgetary control. • He/she will work closely with colleagues within the CfBT Brunei administrative team, and with counterparts in EdDevTrust’s head office, as well as external clients and stakeholders. • He/she will need to demonstrate a commitment to the Company’s values of Accountability, Collaboration, Excellence and Integrity.

• Fully qualified and experienced Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with at least five years of post-qualification experience. • Knowledge of Brunei tax, finance reporting requirements and regulations. • Financial management including production of management accounts, budgets, and reporting for projects and entities. • Proficiency in Excel. • Effective communication skills with strong oral and written skills in English. • Demonstrated leadership and people management experience within the finance field. • Ability to work independently. • Ability to be proactive and meticulous, and meet reporting deadlines. • Knowledge of international financial accounting practices. • Finance experience within an educational context.
