-Lead or assist the technical support needed for capital project on site -Lead or assist the project management for any small capital or larger expenditure projects. -Prepare Capital Request (SDR) of sufficient detail for local and corporate approval -Lead or closely monitor construction activities for capital related projects -Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget with compliance to all authorities requirement. -Maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities, and resolving problems. -Responsible for ensuring that all project related work is completed in accordance to Engineering Practices and Codes -Update and maintain the engineering standards of the plant. -Prepares new equipment files associated with work under his/her control -Assist Production & Maintenance Department functions when needed. -Communicate and liaise with external engineering companies and contractors when necessary to on project related works such as bidding process, project scope, project management, materials, -manpower and supervision. -Communicate plant safety requirements and relevant policies with consultants that secure projects in the company -Communicate with, and provide general supervision for contractors working on site to ensure work standards and safety requirements are met at all times -Communicates with the Technical Group on engineering support and exchange of technical information -Communicates with other related government bodies to ensure compliance with related regulations -To play an active role in implementing ISO9001, ISO14001 and OHSAS 18001. -Documents engineering standards used and update these standards as appropriate -Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained throughout the course of the project -Comply to relevant quality, environment, health and safety management systems requirement established at site.
