Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare and develop strategic, long term and annual audit work plan according to existing risk profiles and business plans.
- Develop and update an Internal Audit Manuals, Audit Charters, audit programs/ checklists and working papers.
- Conduct field work according to work plans with department staff.
- Perform spot-check/unannounced audit of cash management, branch security and loan disbursements and collection processes.
- Perform special examinations, fraud investigations, and assignments at the request of management, board, or staff.
- Provide technical and administrative supports to the board of audit committee as needed.
- Provide orientation and annual trainings for Internal Audit Staff to ensure the development of professional skills in the department.
- Coordinate with external auditors, bank supervisors, and other external assessors and evaluators when required.
- Submit Annual Internal Audit Department Report to the Chairman that outlines the major accomplishments, issues, and challenges of the department and recommend actions to strengthen audit activities.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor/MBA or equivalent degree in the field of Accounting and Finance or related field.
- At least 3 year experiences in a middle management/supervisory position, preferably in financial institutions.
- Comprehensive knowledge of microfinance institutions and banking sectors.
- Strong knowledge of internal control structures and risk management.
- Good understanding of the national legal framework, including taxation and legal compliance for banking and financial institutions.
- High personal integrity, honest, and principled individual.
- Capability and willingness to take responsibility; highly developed sense of rectitude.
- Good inter-personal skills.
- Excellent computer literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc).
- Willingness to travel to provinces for audit, evaluation work, and other assignments.
