Job Responsibilities:

This an exciting opportunity to join this young English / Khmer owned company. We are currently looking for experienced and ambitious people to take up positions as Assistant Managers and Supervisors at both our branches. The successful applicants will be responsible for assisting the General Managers and Head Chefs at both branches in the day to day running of the businesses.

Excellent salaries will be paid to the successful applicants - the precise figures depending on experience. • Assist the General Manager and the Head Chef in organizing and overseeing the operation of the business.
• Assist the General Manager in training, developing and overseeing all staff - and ensuring that they are deployed in an optimum manner to cater for the needs of the customers.
• Ensure that all cash, food and beverage items are full accounted for and that wastage is kept to a minimum.
• Assist the General Manager in controlling stock and ordering new stock as and when required to ensure that there are no gaps in supply.
• Ensure hygiene standards are kept at the highest possible level at all times.
• Ensure all parts of the café and rest rooms are kept at the highest possible levels of cleanliness at all times.
• Quality control all food and beverages to be served.
• Deal courteously and politely with customers to make them feel relaxed and well looked after, including dealing quickly and effectively with any complaints.
• As necessary, prepare and serve coffee, smoothies and other beverages in line with prescribed recipes and preparation techniques and serve food from the counter or kitchen.
• Keep updated on trends, systems, practices and equipment in Food and Beverage preparation and service in the hospitality field.
• Work with the General Manager, Head Chef and the Owners to develop and expand the business.
Job Requirements:
• For the Assistant Managers, preferably a minimum of 5 years' experience in the Catering or Hotel industry, and for the Supervisors 3 years, with specific knowledge of coffee and smoothie preparation.
• A qualification from a recognised catering school an advantage.
• Good level of English essential, with knowledge of other languages - particularly Chinese - an advantage.
• Service-oriented and comfortable leading, and working as part of, a team.
• Strong qualities of leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow with the business.
• Innovative, creative and with the motivation to explore and develop new ideas, practices and products.
• Able and willing to work without supervision, when the Operations manager is not present.
• Flexibility to cope with different, challenging and situations calmly and effectively.
• Able to work well under pressure.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Honest, positive, self-motivated, responsible, hardworking and organized with excellent interpersonal skills and the drive to help and support the growth of the business.
